Meeting called to Order: 7:15PM

Officer’s Reports:

Seneschal: Lady Seraphina - No report.

Chatelaine: Muirrenn - I am not planning on brining the loaner garb to Estrella, as I don't think there are any new people going, and it takes up a ton of space! If anyone needs loaner garb, they should get in touch with me. I will post something to the list, but if Lynn needs loaner garb, someone should have her get in touch with me, because she is deliberately not on the list.
-It was good having someone new at the meeting last week (James Ferris) and we will have to try to keep in touch with him and keep him coming.
-Gyldenholt Unbelted tourney is coming up on Saturday, 25 January, which is next weekend, so you should all go, and Poll na gamme is coming up on 8 february, so you should go to that too.

Warband Rep: Ross - 11 people have pre-registered for Estrella, and we have 23 people who have said they are coming. We will be fielding 8 fighters.
-Jacob is coming to practice tomorrow, so it will be good to have him back
-Lord Dietrich has been deployed, so he will not be at Estrella
-The canopies are awesome; 1 is completely done and it was set up at Archery practice, and 2 more are nearly finished.

Herold: Alvar - Consulting was done last Tuesday, 14 January at Lord Kean's house, and it went really well. Sherief chose and submitted a name (Sherief abdula Salaam ibn Salah) and a device. Lady Caoilflionn also came, however she did not submit anything. Everything else is quiet.

Arts and Sciences: Lady Liuete - The skirts and Pants workshop will be held on Wednesday, 22 January at her house; the old student center is under construction, so we will not be able to use it for a few months. Muirrenn will be doing a fabric run sometime between now and then, so if you need fabric, talk to her.
-We received a participation certificate from UCSD that was given to all the clubs, so we can do whatever we want to with it. (the certificate was given to Lady Seraphina to put with all the seneschal stuff)
-Costumers guild will be cancelled next month because Allied gardens will be closed due to the holiday.

Exchequer: Lady Ariana - We still have roughly the same amount of money, within $100. Lady Nostacia will be taking over for Dame Richenda as baronial exchequer.

Constable: Sherief - No report.

Captain of Archers: THL John - There is something wrong with the generator at the range, and they will be getting it serviced. The archery club has $140.00 to put towards the repairs.
-They have been having good turnouts at practice, and have been mobbed with moms and their children. Lady Agnessa is trying to start a kids program, and will be working with the barony to do so. The kids need special equipment, so hopefully we will be able to get some.
-UCSD residential life wants to bring a group of students out and introduce them to archery, and we should be able to get some money out of it. We will need some range marshals out there on the day they come.
-His ex-wife has been teaching Scottish country dance down in Pacific Beach on Friday nights from 7-10 PM, and it is open to anyone who would like to attend. They have been getting very low attendance recently, and if they don't get more people, they will have to shut down. Sometimes there is live music. He will post something to the list with more information.
-We should be receiving the stamp for the tokens soon.

Web Chronicler:Kol - He now has a form that he needs to fill out which will allow him to upload things directly to the webpage without going through Lady Maggie first. The form needs several signatures and the Baronial seneschal needs to see his blue card before the form can be turned in.
-He talked to Maggie about changing the time that archery practice is listed on the Baronial webpage, but she needs to first get permission from the Barony before it can actually be changed. She's working on that.

Old Business:

Estrella

• Ross - 3 canopies will be enclosed for Estrella, he is acting as the slave driver on this project, but it is getting closer to being done.
  -he is planning on borrowing his parents firepit that he bought them for Christmas, and bringing that with to war.
• Muirrenn- I am planning on driving my truck up and caravaning with whomever is doing so on Thursday morning. We will be packing as lightly as possible, so there should be plenty of room for hauling stuff.
• Lady Ariana - We still have the radios in the Ché, and she has the combination for the locked cabinet that they are in. If no one still has the combination, she will send it out to the officers.
• Lord Guy Rand - we need to figure out what we are doing for passenger cars for caravaning to war; he can rent a van if that will work better.
• THL John - Lady Brighid is not planning on bringing the waterbearing stuff to war, nor water-bearing the whole time, so we'll need to figure out how that is going to work.
  -We will plan on leaving at 9:00 from Torin's on Thursday. The van is very slow, so it will take a little longer to get there.
  -The gas for the van is extremely expensive, around $50 to fill up the tank, so we will need to ask for a little extra money from whomever is camping with us to make up for it.

Artemas Anniversary

• Lord Torin - He has ordered the tokens for Artemas Anniversary. There are 200 that he has ordered, and he will plan on pre-stamping 150.
• Lady Ariana - she will probably be fairly busy doing Baronial court stuff, so she will probably not have time to do anything fancy for the games. She is willing to do hunkerhausen and the tower game, but not a whole lot else.
  -there was discussion, and we thought that Lady Daniella might be a possibility to do the games instead.
  -THL Illora, the baronial children's officer may be willing to do the children's games/activities. She just got married yesterday, so she isn't likely to be around right now, but we will contact her at some point in the future.
• Lord Kean - if Alvar is planning on running lights weapons, he will need to find someone else to field herald for him.
  -there was discussion and it was decided that Alvar would do field heraldry if no one else was willing to, and Kol would then run lights weapons.
• Lady Seraphina - someone needs to get the ribbon.
  -for the fighting autocrats we have:

  heavies: ? perhaps Lord Lonán would be willing/able to do it.
  Archery: THL John
  -Lady Liuete will be doing the feast
  -we also need to contact someone about rapier THL John - the stamp for the tokens is on the way, it cost $72.00
• Lady Liuete - She will probably need at least an hour before the feast starts to get stuff ready, so it may be a problem for her to die at closing court. If so, she can possibly just die in the morning.
• Lady Seraphina - it might be a good idea to use radios at the event to communicate between the tourney site and the feast site.
  -Bread Riot: Lady Ariana is going to get the bread
  -Also, we need to find the chocolate coins
• Lady Ariana - she will show Muirrenn how she gets the bread so Muirrenn will know for the future.

Muirrenn - I am still planning on doing a demo sometime this quarter, and will still be planning on coming out to heavies practice at some point and talking to the warband about it. Wednesays and Fridays are the best days for me
-there was discussion and it was decided that Wednesday would be better
-I was hoping to talk to Mistress Elidh about it since she still works on campus.
