OFFICER REPORTS:

Castellan - Kol: Nothing to report Herald - Alvar: We ran the list shield workshop, and about ten people FINISHED!! their projects. Arts and Sciences - Eirik: Someday, we may or may not have a Middle Eastern Cooking workshop. He will send an email to the list about it. Archery - John: We're looking at probably March for the fletching workshop. Exchequer - Illaria: We have money, she doesn't know exactly how much. There is a lot. Seneschal - Muirrenn: Baroness Toline is going to need contact info for all the current officers. This includes SCA and mundane names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and membership numbers. I will check with her to find out if she needs this from both current and new officers, or if the new officers only will suffice. Also, the college has been asked by kingdom to do an inventory of all of our possessions. So, if you have anything that the college owns at your house, please email me and tell me about it.

OLD BUSINESS:

Saint Artemas Anniversary

Feast - unanimously approved a budget of between $350-400 for the food. The cost will be $7.00 per person. We still need servers, probably 3-4 people total, and people to help in the kitchen throughout the day. Liuete will get a menu worked out in the near future.

Decorations - we approved a budget of between $50-100 for decorations. If we decide to buy permanent table cloths, serving wear, etc. we will pay for that separately, not out of the decorations budget. We talked about possibly having some sort of toys on the table to keep people amused during the feast, possibly wooden building blocks, or using paper table cloths and giving people crayons to color on them with. Plants might also make good center pieces.

We still need someone to be in charge of decorating the hall.

Auction - the first part of the auction will be silent. All auction donations need to be in by noon in order to go in the silent auction. The bidding will go from 1-3PM, and the winners will be announced at 3:30-4:00. Any item with 3 bids or less will go to the highest silent bidder. Those items with more than three will be auctioned live at the revel.

hunkerhausen - Sherief will run a hunkerhausen tourney following the end of the tourney, there will be both armored and unarmored, and we will have prizes.

Tourney - Lonan will see if sean thorvaldson will run the tourney. We will get prizes for the college champs. And see if the barony will pay for prizes for the baronial champs. We discussed possibly doing some kind of favor for the college champions, possibly loofa stuffed animals with site tokens around their necks.

Misc - Muirrenn will order the bread. Larry will order the stamp for the tokens. We already have the actual tokens from last time. We will use gold and white beads to denote feast and not feast on the tokens. Muirrenn will order some more ribbon. We also need to vote for the college service medallion recipients. Warren Renaissance Faire

Muirrenn - I still need to talk to all of the baronial people about borrowing various supplies. Master Robert said he will bring us down some pop-ups. The dutch oven cooking guild was planning on meeting that day at the UCSD archery range anyway, so I am going to talk to the R.A.s and see if it is okay for them to come to the demo and cook. The arts and crafts that we are going to run at the event are chain mail making, weaving of some sort, calligraphy, and possibly some kind of sewing/embroidering. There will also be a variety of games that will mostly be run by the R.A.s, such as a "garb relay," potato sack race, watermelon eating contest, and "balloon archery." The R.A.s are going to help out by doing all the advertising for the event. On Campus Practices

These will be held on 2/2 and 3/1. The first one will be at Muir commons again, starting between 6:30 and 7:00. Come if you can!

NEW BUSINESS

Web Page updating

We need to make our webpage more current again. I will be posting meeting minutes after every meeting. Also, we will be adding event information, including archery events, feast menu, ST. event announcement, directions, and a map link. Illaria has requested that we add an archery section to the page. If anyone else has anything they would like to see added to the webpage, please email me and let me know.

There is a possibility that the baronial webpage will in the future be hosted off the kingdom page. If that happens, the college page will be moving off the baronial page, possibly onto the Red Toast server. Decorations for Camp at Potrero

I would like to beautify our camp at war. One way I would like to do this is by making st. artemas silk banners. If I do this, I will likely teach a workshop on it as well. I would need to get the materials first though, so this won't happen anytime soon. Possibly by September war, but no sooner than that. I would also like to consider making list shields for the members of the war band and the college to display in camp.
